Lakeland Limited RedPrairie's intelligent picking options allow Lakeland to optimize the pick process to suit the different needs of its distribution and dispatch businesses. When picking for the stores (distribution), warehouse operatives enter the shop's code number onto the truckmounted RDT scanner and items required for the next shipment are automatically downloaded on to the screen. A single pick then takes place for each shop, using the most efficient route around the depot.

Unilever Unilever wanted to partner with a technology provider that had a long history of warehouse management expertise and product innovation. They partnered with their WMS logistics technology provider, RedPrairie, who developed a "process manufacturing" oriented warehouse management system which eventually would be adopted by other consumer packaged goods companies.

Zotos Zotos needed the ability to accurately track finished goods as they moved from the production facility through the 300,000 square foot warehouse on their way to customer sites. Because their client base can vary in size from individual stylists to large salons, the warehouse is necessarily a high piece pick, labor-intensive environment. But that is exactly what ADS Logistic Services, a full service third party logistics provider, offers its customer base of footwear, apparel, appliance and other retail companies. ADS describes this as "Delivering Versatile Solutions with all the right tools…" ADS provides these services from its extensively automated Distribution Centers in Edison, N.J. and Gaffney, SC, and soon to be Fontana, CA.
